Our House [vol. II]

How to make a photo/frame wall!

I decided a photo wall would look nice in the entry way, so yesterday when Mike got home I asked him to hang pictures for me. Had I tackled this project on my own, I probably wouldn't have even thought to use a level. Or planned out a general layout before I started putting holes in the wall. Thank goodness Mike has at least one logical bone in his body, because I have ZERO.

Step 1: Get a rough idea of what you want it to look like on the wall. Apparently it's important to take into consideration how much space you have to work with. (That big gap in the middle of this photo is where my white shelf will go.)

Close up of some frames. I'm changing a few of the pictures because most of them have been hanging in these frames since 2007. Time for an update!

Step 2: Find a strapping young man to measure, level, and hang your frames.

Step 3:
Admire all your hard work, maybe even offer the hired help a beer.

Sorry this one is a little over exposed. There was no more natural light left by the time the Feef finished. I'm going to Wal-Mart today to print pictures for the empty spots and to replace the sideways picture of me and Kelsey.

And, I don't think I mentioned, but a couple of weeks ago when I re organized the laundry room, I found a HUGE chalkboard that i desperately wanted to hang somewhere. So, Mike came through, like always, and we hung it up. So now we can write sweet messages to eachother. =)

  1. I want a chalkboard for my kitchen so badly! And I think a picture wall is exactly what we need in our entry. Great idea!
